To work on files from different folders together, gather them in the bucket. Tick anything, anywhere in the shed, and choose Add to bucket. It holds folders as well as files, it gathers until you clear it, and it survives a refresh, a sign-out and a move to another computer.
Tick files or folders and choose Add to bucket, from a listing, from search results, from a row's ··· menu or from the viewer. A folder brings everything inside it, and the bucket counts it that way: "1 folder and 3 files".
Adding something a folder in the bucket already covers does nothing, so nothing is counted twice.
Press Bucket at the foot of the page. The actions sit at the bottom of the panel, however long the list:
You see only the actions your level allows, rather than buttons that refuse you: Download level gets the first two.
See everything in the bucket opens it as a page. Sort by folders, by size or by when you added something, and press Take out on any row to drop it.
Above a hundred files or a gigabyte, Shed asks first, with the numbers: how much is affected, the biggest thing in it, and what happens to the bucket. Whatever moves leaves the bucket; anything that cannot move stays, with the reason. Then it runs as a job with its own progress, which you can stop part way.
The bucket keeps up with the shed. If someone moves or renames something you have gathered, its row follows it to its new place. If something is binned, its row stays, struck through, with the reason; if it has moved somewhere you cannot see, the row says so without telling you where. Struck-through rows are skipped by every action and left out of the counts, and the page says how many there are before you do anything, so a gap is never a surprise.
Click any file to open it, and press Back to the folder to return. See Open a file, or take a copy.
Press Clear the bucket. Clearing it leaves every file where it is, which is not the same as moving anything to the bin.
A ZIP download stops at 200 GB. Take some out, or use the Mac app, which copies folders of any size and checks every file as it goes. See Move large files with the Mac app.
Tell us which libraries or drives are full and roughly how large they are. We size a shed, set up the first sweep with you, and most are running within a week.
