Your shed sits in the sidebar under its own mark. Folders open like any others and nothing downloads until you open a file. New folder, save, rename and delete go straight to the shed and into its record; a delete goes to the shed's bin. Right-click for Share… and Copy link. Settings chooses which top folders to show. Quit Shed and the entry goes; open it and it is back.
Drop on the Dock icon, or right-click in the Finder and choose Add to Shed. Plug in a drive or camera card and Ingest puts it in the shed straight from the drive, with nothing copied to your Mac; it waits if the drive is unplugged, and emails you a log of every file once the shed has checked them all. Each file is hashed as it leaves and checked as it lands; one the shed already holds is skipped. The menu bar shows what is going up, what is waiting and anything that needs a look. Uploads carry on after a sleep, a dropped connection or a relaunch, and can be held to a speed limit or to outside office hours. Shed keeps itself up to date: a new version is checked and goes in when you next quit, and on a Mac your IT looks after, it leaves updates to them.
Shed opens your browser, you sign in as usual and approve the Mac by name. It can do what your own access allows and stops when that access is removed. Sending needs Change level; Download level can browse and open. Search and preview are at app.shed.work. Using the Mac app has the rest.
The log is in Settings. Send it to us with a note. Nothing is removed from your shed by this app, and it cannot empty the bin.
