To send a file or folder to someone who cannot sign in to your shed, make a link. You choose who can open it and the day it stops, up to 90 days. Every open and download is recorded and shown on your Shared links page.
Open a row's ··· menu and choose Share…, or tick several things and use Share… in the selection bar. Choose who can open it, how long it works for, and add a message if you like. Then press Make the link.
The email comes from no-reply@shed.work with your name on it. You can invite up to 50 people on one link. Someone at your own company is better invited into the shed itself: see Invite someone and choose what they can do.
Choose 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or 90 days. Seven days is the usual choice, and 90 days is the longest any link can last. After that it stops working, and the page says so rather than showing anything.
Only what you shared, and only while you can see it yourself. Shed re-checks your access every time the link is opened. If your access is narrowed or ends, the link stops showing those files. It never shows more than you can see.
Press Your shared links on Files, or open Settings, then Account. An Admin sees every link at the company under Settings, then Shared links.
Each link shows when it was opened and downloaded, and by whom when you invited people by name. If your company has switched location logging on, you also see the town and country; the address itself is never kept. You can stop a link at any time.
Tell us which libraries or drives are full and roughly how large they are. We size a shed, set up the first sweep with you, and most are running within a week.
